The moment of relapse is not what you think. There’s more to it than, „I was too weak in this moment”. It’s a development. The seed started with a nasty thought on day X. You may have relapsed on day X+10, but that’s because of the nasty thought on day X. How to solve? Neutralize nasty thoughts. Every nasty thought needs to be neutralized. The way to do this is to ask for forgiveness after every nasty thought. Yes, this means that you have to realize that you had a nasty thought. And then you ask for forgiveness in your own logical or religious language. It’s better to ask many times for forgiveness to make sure the thought is really neutralized. Don’t let the nasty thought go down in you history without also injecting an opposite force to your world by asking for forgiveness. Yes, in practice this means that you will probably have to ask for forgiveness many times a day. What are examples of nasty thoughts? You see a post on social media and get, even slightly, horny. You randomly think of explicit images. You see a woman on the street and have thoughts of sex. Yes, this means that if you want to do this meditation correctly, you have to ask forgiveness in public too. I personally am mouthing the words that I use, even in public.
