Well, if he’s serious about quitting porn, it may not be practical, but it’s definitely a better solution than installing porn blockers that he could easily turn off if he chose to, usually most people addicted to porn lack self control, so just installing an app wouldn’t suffice. But then again. it depends on how serious you are on quitting porn. To add on, track your thoughts, literally, and don’t allow yourself to think about girls, because most of the time these thoughts are quiet, subconscious. And before you fully notice it, it’s too late and you’re too tempted to not give in. So consciously start practicing to replace these thoughts with something else productive like a long term goal you may have, and if you don’t have goals, and live a life of nothingness, not going after anything, then obviously you’re gonna keep falling into pornography.

Giving your phone to someone is not practical at all.

Give your phone to someone trusted, live a phone free life, have goals, don’t waste time for temporary fun, have a mission to go after, and if you genuinely need your phone for work or for whatever reason, ask the trusted person for it temporarily, for them to stay close by, and if the smallest temptation comes then give the phone back. Self control is a muscle, not just discipline. The more you do certain actions repeatedly, they end up becoming habits, second nature, the same is true for the bad habits, the addictions, but eventually by following the good habits, it would be much easier to simply replace porn with something just as enjoyable like a sport or hobby, key is to have a goal in life long term, and live an active lifestyle.
