I have to respectfully disagree. Thinking so absolutely can be a dangerous game. You might be fully affirmed to quitting and never touching it again when life is good right now, but a major trigger like losing a job or SO can send you right back. It’s not a matter of conviction. Will power alone is a finite resource and the goal is to develop healthy coping mechanisms to see long term success.

Devon, if you’ve fully made the decision to quit forever and never “have one little peek” you’ll never need to worry about it. The only thing that can happen is that you decide to have another look, but that’s your decision because dopamine addiction (which is what this is) has much weaker urges than other drugs

Mate, 3 weeks is the longest it takes to lose urges if you’ve fully decided to quit - you need to have really made this decision with no doubt in your mind. After 3 months you should be fully recovered, so a year is plenty of time to

A year is an incredible achievement! My take is that like alcohol/drug addiction, these things never FULLY go away and can lie dormant until something triggers it. Even if we can’t eradicate urges completely, the goal is to develop and improve the skills to manage your triggers/urges.
