Saint Mary of Egypt Pray for Us

Still struggling and I end up relapsing, going through bad spiritual warfare and my faith in Christ and in the Catholic Church has been waning. But I’m still going to keep going. Learned about Saint. Saint Mary of Egypt and I decided to make an Icon of here today. But a little story here. Saint Mary of Egypt was born in Egypt and by age 12 she ran away from home to Alexandria to live an adulterous life. After many years of living this life she followed a few pilgrims to Jerusalem to satisfy her lust and lifestyle. When she got there she tried to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher but couldn’t enter in. Some invisible force barred her from entry. (This is from what I’ve heard and read) an Apportion of the Holy Theotokos appeared to her and she repented and vowed to no longer live a life of sin anymore. She entered the church she prayed, then went across the Jordon River to repent and live as a hermit for the next years of her life. She met a monk over there who gave her communion. And she died she was buried with a help of a Lion. We should learn from Saint Mary of Egypt, that even though we have lived with lust for a while we can repent give our life to Christ. Because only through him we can be set free from our passion. It is a difficult battle but not impossible. Especially with Christ with us. Saint Mary of Egypt Pray for Us.
