No male role models

One of the best things you can do to beat this addiction and just for improving in general is to look to and learn from a masculine male role model in your life (I’m speaking to the gentlemen in this post) but the more I look around me, the more I see that there are no truly masculine men in my life. All of them have embraced modernity and have become passive. I picked up a new book recently that might help, it’s called Wild at Heart by John Eldredge and if you’re on this journey too I recommend it. Honestly I don’t see this problem fixing itself any time soon, so I’m joining the army at 19 after I graduate. And if I fail then, I’ll just give up everything.
Don't be too hard on yourself, yeah giving up means to accepting modernity and becoming passive but as the way you are talking I don't think you can back down easily, you know exactly what a true masculine man is, and I pray that after knowing these things you won't fail
