After 12 days clean and feeling good, I relapsed out of stress for something I can’t even control. I’m pissed at myself rn and I feel like I ruined my progress.

Think about like working out and eating healthy. Let’s say you workout for 12 days straight, you’re eating healthy and staying active. You then cave and eat like a whole cake. You might feel crappy afterwards and it’s not good for you but you didn’t just remove everything you did! If you just gave up now and decided to just stop working out and eating healthy you won’t bee get there! Keep at it 1 day at a time! I’m proud of you and want you to keep going! P.S. you’re a freaking Legend!

Dude! 12 days is amazing! One relapse doesn’t erase 12 days of brain healing, self-control, and insight you’ve built. Your brain and body have already started adjusting to a new baseline. A slip might set you back a bit, but it’s not square one. It’s a freaking addiction I’m addicted and am fighting each day to stay away! Most people recovering from any addiction slip up a few times. What matters more is how you respond: • Do you learn from it? • Do you get back on track quickly? • Do you reflect on what triggered it? You are still letting your brain rewire Even with one relapse, the work you’ve done to build awareness, change habits, and reduce dependency still counts. The brain’s recovery is cumulative, not instantly reset. What to Do After a Relapse: • Don’t beat yourself up—acknowledge it and move forward. • Identify what triggered it (stress? boredom? loneliness?). • Use it to strengthen your plan going forward.
