Needs some guidance boys

I just relapsed and I feel awful. It’s so unnatural for one to pleasure themselves in their own private space to pixels on a screen. As a person who has a girlfriend, it almost feels like an alternative way of cheating to me. I’ve tried journaling my urges, going for nightly walks, installing blockers, meditating, and limiting my screen time but my highest streak so far when I’ve had this app is 41 days. Lately, I can’t even go past 7 days. I really need any guidance that you guys can offer me. Thanks

Yo bro, I really feel your heart here. First, respect for coming here and being real — that takes guts. I’m on a 7-day streak right now, and man, I’ve had those same thoughts: “Why am I doing this when I have someone I care about? Why am I turning to a screen instead of real connection?” It does feel like a betrayal sometimes, not just to her, but to yourself. Here’s what’s been helping me lately: ✅ Remember: the streak is cool, but the goal is growth, not just numbers. Even if you made 41 days before, slipping now doesn’t erase your progress. Look at what helped you get to 41 last time and reflect on what’s missing right now. Are you more stressed? Less connected? More isolated? ✅ Build more connection, not just more restriction. Blockers, journaling, and meditation are great — but sometimes we need people too. Could you share your struggle (at least partly) with your girlfriend or a close, trusted friend? That added accountability can be a game-changer. ✅ Remember: shame wants to trap you, but you’re not your relapse. You are not disqualified because you slipped. You’re still in the fight. Focus on the next right step — not punishing yourself for the past step. You’ve already proven you can hit 41 days. You can break past this wall again. Keep leaning on the tools, keep showing up here, and remember, you’re never doing this fight alone. You got this, brother. 💪
