hey guys, i just made it to day 5, but to be honest i expected to see an improvement of myself, when i started, the first day i was already feeling energetic and happy, but now it’s like the depression kicked back in, idk if this is normal or not, any tips?

I feel you I’m 10 days in and I’ve just started to feel better. I think it’s because when you start all you can think about is relapsing so you have to keep your guard up 24/7 and it’s exhausting. I found that day 6 was the worst and it got wayyy better after that and I’m cruising for the most part now.

Totally normal! Think of it as full on withdrawal, so your body is having to adjust without that dopamine kick from porn. May be helpful to find a new source of satisfaction from a walk, a book, video game, podcast, etc. Either way, you will WIN this war - we’re all here cheering you onward!

Your brain is adjusting to the change and mood swings are common in this peirod. However, it’s important to be gentle with yourself. Keep yourself busy with fun activities and exercise to improve mood.
