For some reason i cant make it past 2 days. Its becoming frustrating and i dont know what or where the triggers and urges are coming from. Could social media be a problem that can lead to those?

I had to stop using Instagram Reels for that reason, the algorithm knew what would make me watch. Seeing these sexually driven videos (porn adjacent) would almost always make me relapse even if I wasn’t thinking about it at all beforehand. I think it would help a lot to cut down or get rid of socials.

also depending on what social media platform you’re using, you may inherently come across pornographic material which will most likely turn into a relapse.

social media absolutely can. social media algorithms target the same dopamine receptors in your brain that porn does. both of these are what’s called “supernormal stimulus” and are what our brains are hooked on.
