First and foremost pray to God first. THEN you have options: #1 Go run Cardio so you tire yourself out. #2 Not in shape to do cardio? Start lifting instead #3 Don’t have weights or gym membership? Look up free Calisthenic exercises on YouTube or just start doing doing pushups and soups until you feel tired
always remember why you stopped. your purpose is more important than anything. so first mindset, then instead of spending an hour chocking your chicken, go outside, maybe read a book. anything you like doing & put your full thought through your activities. honestly no routine is sufficient enough. whats most important is that you have your mind disciplined!!
Any time I’m tempted I stop whatever I’m doing and do something else. To break the temptation. I also whisper scripture to find strength in god.
I am Catholic, but I’m also on the autism spectrum. So physical tangible things have helped me; things that make my senses work. So although i do silent prayers while I’m being tempted and offer up my suffering for you and others that are struggling i do this checklist first. 1. Am i in physical stress? Eliminate as best you can. 2. Deep breathing. Recognize i haven’t fallen and every second i move forward is another second of sobriety. 3. Be thankful that i still have life. 4. Use a tool in my sobriety belt that helps distract from my feelings. Remember temptation comes when we are HALTed (Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired)
