Bad Morning Routine

Every morning I wake up having to fight the urge. It’s the hardest time for me. Anyone else have this issue? It sucks because when I give in it has me down for the whole day and I’ve lost count of how many days I’ve started feeling ashamed and defeated. I need some advice and comfort knowing there’s a way out of this

Is there something you enjoy doing? Every time i get the urge i play a game or something. It might not be a healthy habit but atleast its not smoking or something else. Everyone is addicted to something, you just have to choose what

Have your morning planned out! I used to have the same problem, would wake up earlier and have nothing to do, would doom scroll social media then find a trigger and relapse. When you have a plan for your morning, then you don’t have time to even think about relapsing. Make it simple tho, don’t do too much. For example my morning routine is waking up and going straight outside without my phone to get sunlight in the eyes for atleast 10-15 minutes and praying as well. Then going inside getting ready brushing teeth and such, then sitting down doing some reading/ breakfast and start your day. It won’t happen all of a sudden, but just stick to it and it will get easier

Yep, the exact same for me. Don’t keep your phone near yourself. Get an alarm clock. There is a way out, and you know that because you’re here. Stick to it brother
