New Here, Unsure...

I just downloaded and paid for this app. But now I don't see anything to really help me. Why not just go jerkoff like I really want to? I was hoping for something to help keep me away from porn when my brain is screaming at me to go get some (like right now). I'm trying. This has been a solitary fight of mine since childhood (like 9 or 11). I feels like an inevitable loss. And I'm worried that all I've done is spent money on an AI-riddled generic app that helps with nothing but tracking days...... am I wrong?

Use what you can as an advantage. One brother on here examined your situation pretty well. It seems you don’t want to but you took the first step. Ask yourself if you want to quit or do you want to quit on yourself?

It has a porn site blocker use it. Makes you second guess everytime before you try to disable it Also panic button has helped me a few times when the urges got too strong. As i got to day 6 the ig algorithm found a new way to tempt me. Some chick w the mose vicious succubus energy doing praise kink eye contact type shi..never knew i was into it but it had me edged out crazy Almost relapsed fully in her of but couldnt access it due to the blocker That gave me enough mental space to get in the app and hit the panic button, do the breathing excersices and reshift my energy elsewhere That content is still in the back of my mind tempting me but i feel wayyyy more prepared to deal with it than without the app. Id have been knee deep in a goon binge multiple times by now

You have to really want to stop to make a change. Just by reading the first 2 sentences, it seems like u only want to stop if there's an instant fix. There is not, it won't be an easy process to stop, but the benefits in the end will all be worth it. It can serve as a reminder to ur goals, to the disappointment you'd feel after giving in again

I downloaded the app a few days ago as well, from what I gathered; think of it as a support group of sorts. Everyone (I assume) is trying to get over some level of porn addiction. You could probably find a free support group but think of it this way: If someone is willing to pay to join they are probably more serious about quitting. It’s important to remind yourself why you want to quit. Also tracking days helps in the beginning but after a while I don’t think it matters as much because it keeps you thinking about porn.

you just don't want to change, don't blame the app if you are a weak man

This is my second day using the app. Now, the advice I will give you is that it’s not about the app. It’s more about the perseverance within yourself. It’s about knowing you have community behind you. That’s facing the same problems. Since starting a journey, nothing‘s gonna get accomplished unless you do it, so you have to show yourself you not a low level bum ass gooner, you a man who get money and get too many bitches lol. But you see what I’m getting at? Fuck what the app offers, it’s about what you gon get in the long run and you being able to notice progress. That’s what keep me going, knowing I’m doing beating this addiction everyday💯💯

its my 3rd day using this app and honestly, I feel the same way too... The only thing thats been rly helping so far its the community (telegram and community post). There was another similar app that i didn't download that requires me to pay as well but I wasnt as desperate that time compared to now... but alr paid for a full year so theres no going back now... But then again, maybe I just havent explore this app enough since I've been quite busy
