reflection of relapse

When i relapsed, it was because it was the longest i had gone in years without daily masterbation, and it felt like i should reward myself for my 12 days of progress, but upon reflection there are simply other ways to reward myself other than the temptation i tried to avoid. so it wasnt hard to hop back on progress if it meant meeting my goals and celebrating by other means.
it's all about keeping that momentum; you don't reward yourself for a week of eating really well by eating really badly one day, it ruins your momentum. reward yourself by acknowledging how good it feels to have progressed in the way you have, reward yourself with anything else outside of this habit you've quit. when you reach that point again of wanting to celebrate your progress, take yourself out somewhere nice to eat, treat yourself. what that will do will make that reward system from abstaining feel so much better, you'll be so much more happier that you did it and it'll put you in good stead to continue on like that
