I fell?

I wanted to share my experience for some accountability before I go all the way. I had a trip or a soft fall? I looked at some images that were provocative, parts were covered, but it was definitely driven by my temptations to scratch that itch. I’m a glass half full kind of guy so I’m choosing not to restart my 12 day streak, I see it as progress because I was definitely aware, swiping past the fully explicit content that I ran into, and being able to fight the urge to go in all the way. Like a recovering alcoholic taking one sip but having the strength to put the cap back on the bottle. Or a smoker that’s trying to quit, who takes one puff and then extinguishes the cigarette. I felt like a soldier on a mine field, that was very much aware of the dangers of stepping on a mine and was able to avoid them, but stepped on a bear trap instead. Sure, these analogies are a little dramatic but it’s the best way it makes sense to me. Pray for me brothers, I am most vulnerable when falling down hard after a good streak.
