Is the damage 100% reversible?

As I continue to see success stories within this community, it’s becoming apparent that noticing positive changes early on in your journey is very likely after quitting. I see people saying they feel better mentally, physically just after a week. But I wonder if the damage is 100% reversible? I’m 24. I’ve been a porn consumer for about 12 years. Will I be able to completely detoxify my physical and spiritual being for good if I continue to commit? Because overall my mental health has suffered quite a bit and I don’t know if it’s too late or if I’ve damaged myself to the point of no return.

Yes. The brain has neuro-plasticity. Meaning that it can physically change the neuron connections. When you hear people talk about “rewiring the brain”, that’s quite literally what’s happening when you abstain. You have wired your brain to compulsively consume pornography. Your feelings, thoughts, and actions are all interconnected and your brain has been wired to repeat them. However, you will always be at risk of falling back into porn. Because porn is an incredible high. No matter how long you drive down the road, you will always be the same distance from the ditch. All it takes is just typing a few letters into your search engine. But as you abstain, your desire to do so will decrease
