I had stopped masturbating for a while, then I told myself that I would only do it once a week. When I did it again, I fell into that addiction again. Someone please tell me, WHAT WAS MY MISTAKE ??
Brother, I don’t want to assume or shove my beliefs down your throat. But I firmly believe you believed the devils lies and fell into temptation. I understand if you can’t comprehend that because of your beliefs or what you think yourself, but Jesus Christ is the truth and the devil doesn’t want you to know that. Pray about your addiction and ask God to deliver you from it. Jesus is ALL POWERFUL and he can heal you and deliver you from sexual sin. Ask God to help you overcome the temptations, you may not overcome it in a snap of a finger but 1 Corinthians 10:13 states, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” Gods word is powerful and needed to overcome sexual sin brother. Nobody can’t say they don’t or haven’t struggle with sexual sin. I fell into the temptation of sexual sin last night, I’m not happy about it. But I know I am forgive in Jesus Christ. Repent brother and ask for forgiveness and turn from sexual sin. Run from sexual sin, don’t try to fight it. 1 Corinthians 6:18 states, “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body". Like I said earlier Gods Word is powerful and the enemy knows it is, his lies deceive us from the truth and satan makes sin look good in the moment, especially sexual sin, but most times we’re left with guilt and shame and anguish because of our sins. Again I don’t mean to shove or put my beliefs down your throat brother but the truth is, the devil is out to get us at any moment at any time, and as humans created in the image of God we must fight the devil with prayer and reading the Holy Word. I pray you understand this and take what I said into consideration, sexual sin is a lot easier to handle with Jesus, human flesh is weak without God.
