Battle Buddies: Day 17
Today felt like a seemingly normal day. Nothing out of the blue or the ordinary, it was refreshing because I felt like I didn’t have anything pressing going on. God blessed me with a mental rest day. Something doesn’t always have to be happening, a task doesn’t always have to be done. You can just enjoy life and be in wonder of what God has done for us. Some things to note: I don’t really get walked all over anymore. God has blessed me with new found confidence. It’s easier to hold conversations and it’s not as difficult to flirt. I find myself proclaiming my faith and giving it to God much more frequently. I’m also astounded at how quickly He has done this work in my life, just 17 days and I feel substantially better than I was. God truly is an awesome God. Brother in Christ, Michael: Spiritual warfare is a real thing. I believe fully in what happened and I also think it is symbolic of you dying to your old self and taking up Christ instead. The enemy is always fighting to have you back, but so long as you walk with God the enemy will flee. The devil already knows he has lost, he just wants to sink his hooks in so that we get dragged with him. I’m proud of your strength in the Lord. You keep laying it at the cross and day by day we call see Christ growing within you. Brother in Christ, Jan: These first few days is when the enemy knows you are at your weakest and the most willing to fall back into their despair. Invite God in every step of the way, you alone cannot overcome but with God He will guide you out of your temptation. You must surrender to Him every step of the way. Every small lust filled thought must be laid at the cross. You’ve got this, brother.
