changes in daily life
I’m on day 19. I wanted to share some things that can give you all some hope and you can apply to look forward to & appreciate. My mood overall is better. I come home from work and feel more glad to be greeting my wife. I know that seems like such a small thing, and maybe if you’re married and feel different or have never been married you don’t understand how i could get home and be irritated with my wife already, but that’s how it has been a lot. I feel more glad to see my wife. I’m appreciating her & her presence more. We got into an argument last night & i was ready for reconciliation way faster than normal. I still have a long way to go & more cognitive clarity, control, and discipline in other areas i hope to obtain. But i am glad to be feeling these wins right now.
I recommend reading some self-help books. Even if you don’t think you’re abusive I highly recommend listening to the audiobook or reading STOP HURTING THE WOMAN YOU LOVE. It helps identify behaviors within yourself that you may not think are abusive but are and ways to have better conversations and address your wife needs better. Addiction to porn is an abusive behavior in my opinion as a married man as well.
