✝️Battle Buddies: Day 32

Today was over all a pleasant day, praise to our God! Maybe I can give you guys some info about me for today’s post. I have been attending and serving at a Calvary Chapel for over a year now, the people there make me feel right at home. God’s love is poured out all over our church. Funny thing is, I think I have more friends over 60 at this church than I do friends of my age. I’m currently in my mid-late 20’s and have been a believer for about 3 years now. Thank you Lord for coming into my life. Throughout the week I attend a men’s group where I am half the age of the next youngest person. I love those men though, the wisdom that God has given them I cherish. God blessed me with them and it has truly changed my life for the better. Lately I’ve been learning to play worship music on the acoustic guitar, “O’ Come to the Altar” was the first song I learned and I’m working on “The Lord Will Provide”. My fingers hate me for it but the connection I feel with God when I play is far beyond worth it. The Lord has been so good to me these past few years even when I got in my own way. He deserves all the glory! Brothers in Christ Michael, Cameron, Jan, and You: The wisdom that I see flowing through you is a testament to your faith. The way you men write is truly God inspired. I see you men working within this community, brick by brick bringing glory to His kingdom. Your love for God is bright, it encourages me every day! “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” Romans 12:21 Sisters in Christ Kathryn, Mikayla, and Kayhla: I exhort you! You three are bursting forth with the love of God! Blessed are we to witness it! Hold fast to our God in heaven. “neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭39‬. He has a perfect way of putting all the pieces together, even if we do not understand in the moment. Women were given loving hearts, I pray that with those hearts your first true love will always be Christ!

Day 32- over a month! Praise God. It’s interesting, I also find older people, and especially older Christians to be some of very best friends, and some of the wisest people I know. I mean, like 20+ years older. Thank God for them. I also thank God for you guys, and the friends I’ve seemingly made here- ya’ll’s encouragement and re-direction towards God the last few days has been incredible, and has made this daily fight much lighter. Reminds me of Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

I love that you’ve found community Robert. I think there’s something special about the elders of the faith imparting their wisdom and understanding on the younger generations. I think sometimes churches get too caught up in separating all their small groups into are specific groups, but the body of Christ was never meant to be divided like that. You are the perfect example of that fact. As for the guitar, that is a very fun instrument to play. Don’t worry your fingers will get over it eventually haha. I’m 26 and have been playing since I was about 8 and the tips of my fingers are well calloused. Keep at it. Who knows, maybe the Lord has a call on your life for worship? -Michael〽️

I love that you are friends with the elderly at church! Old people are so interesting and their love for God is so cool to see! I'm 20, and I'm connected with my Young Adults group at church, and I love it. We are beginning to challenge each other in multiple ways, and it's going to bring all of us closer to the Lord! I am praying for you, and the Battle Buddies that we best this addiction, and more importantly, grow closer to God!
