If you’re asking “is this a relapse” you’re asking the wrong question
Some of you either ask this question because 1) you’re looking for scapegoats and are subconsciously wanting to give yourself a pass on something you know you shouldn’t be doing 2) you genuinely aren’t sure and are ridden with guilt and to that I say, you need to be kinder to yourself. If you think it’s a relapse, then it is, and keep it pushing. 3) You place your streak on a pedestal, which isn’t healthy. All the numbers and counters aside, approach this journey with integrity and grace. DON’T focus on how high your number is, on it staying at 0, on why you can’t beat your record. It’s an important reference to have, but it’s not to be idolized. Focus on what you’re feeling internally, how you’re growing, what you learn from each mistake.
I agree, this is a great point. However the problem that a lot of men have is wet dreams which for the most part they cannot control. This doesn’t count as a relapse and I think this post might send some men the wrong message. Also thank you, this is a great post.
