Battle Buddies: Day 25
The heartache reached all time highs today. It almost feels like routine at this point, the pain even overshadows the temptations of lust. The enemy seems to be trying a different route to have my attention back. I refuse. Our identity is in Christ, not relationships. We often fall because our hearts take over what we do rather than the mind keeping the heart in check. Thank you God for providing an out today. The despair is lurking. God you have been so good, you’ve brought these solid men into my life. I love reading how their day went and the active ways they are working with You to combat their temptations. It gives me strength. Michael: 30 days is right around the corner! One whole month! You should go out and do something in celebration or get yourself something that reminds you of how far God has brought you up until this point. Every victory counts, every step matters. Your confidence is up, your discipline is becoming concrete, and you have found integrity in all this. I’m proud of you, Michael! Cameron: I’m baffled when I see your posts, you are making such quick leaps and bounds. The way you talk about God and the additional time that you give Him are evidence of Christ rising up within you! Let Him have it all, surrender it over like you have been doing. I’m excited to see you finally conquer this addiction! Jan: I pray that the Lord may broaden your shoulders during this busy season of life and free up time for you so that you can finally overcome the lust. One thing I love about you Jan is that you are full of love and encouragement. You are always hyping us up and supporting us every step of the way! Let the Lord be the light under your feet, grace and peace be with you!
This journey may hurt us in more ways than one, but we can endure the pain and heartache that it gives us. You are so close as well to that day 30 milestone, and I'm proud that we were able to get this far together. Like you told me, Robert, we will find the love of our lives through God, and after this journey, we will have a better chance at it. I'm proud of you, brother! I'll continue to pray for you.
