Situation: there is this one YouTuber who writes fanfics and I’m a big fan on his work. However, sometimes there are very intimate or even actual sex scenes that are included. Images are not added and no sounds, just reading. I don’t have a physical reaction every time and when I do I don’t act on them. I don’t want to avoid his channel cause I love his content but is this “relapsing”? I don’t view the content for the nsfw sections but I don’t avoid them either.

To me it’s not relapsing unless you masturbate. There’s sexy stuff literally everywhere, you can’t avoid it, just don’t seek it out for sexual pleasure and don’t pleasure yourself if you seek it out

Real question is why this have so many votes but no comments…
Would you watch classic art only if private parts were covered? My understanding is you read the full text - not just the nsfw as you write… I read Nancy Fridays book - front to end - as I came across it as part of “day dreaming” (which again is part of my studies). So, I read sexual fantasies and their explanations and categorizations - with a scientific approach - no reactions, not seeking stuff out. No relapse. Chill and enjoy reading :-)
