45 days - healthy addictions

More and more am I turning my porn addiction into healthy "addictions". What I mean by that, is, that I am reinvesting my saved energy, from not watching porn and seeking fast dopamine and stress releases (short-term experience of satisfaction), into healthy addictions, like hobbies, that keep the mind busy and will make me happy long-term. Since I have started this journey for real, my life has drastically changed - I know about stress, anxiety, loneliness, boredom, etc. being my main reasons for why I have frequently watched porn and masturbated (and I am sure that is many of you guys' reasons to why you are suffering from an addiction of that kind). Keep you mind busy and that in a way that is totally contrary to the way that porn keeps the mind busy. Porn was always a strategy of avoidance for me, ignoring feelings and making me feel good/better quick and in a way that I was used to. But porn is by far one of the unhealthiest ways to cope with the aforementioned emotions. Instead, invest in yourself, start doing things you have maybe always wanted to try out, for me it is hiking and running, traveling to countries I don’t know, find new ways to make you happy and think bigger/longterm, instead of wanting a quick relief. Also remember, you have made a big step already. You are not alone with this, everybody here understands you - you are strong for trying to confront this issue you have. KEEP GOING.
