Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself

Gang, Just relapsed after making it past my previous “career high” of 10 days. Relapsed just before 2 weeks (shoot!) But I realized we shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves when we relapse. Yes, this addiction (or habit) can have negative effects on our everyday life, but we also are all sexual beings. The last couple of days, I have felt so much more confident in myself and have had a clearer mind. I woke up each morning and was excited to hit the “no, still going strong button” on this app. But we are all sexual beings, and I have been looking at women like they could all be my partner (or with a sexual filter). I’m not at that point mentally yet to dive into a new relationship, because I notice that I still have the filter of looking at other women sexually all of the time. This journey is a MARATHON gents…don’t be so hard on yourself when you trip during your race. We all have our ultimate end goal in mind, and it’s a marathon to get there (I mean think about it, it’s 90 DAYS!) that’s a long time. Everyone running a marathon trips, but they get right back up and don’t lose sight of the finish line. Just because you reset the counter due to a “relapse”, doesn’t mean you can’t get right back up and continue your race. It’s just a trip-up. You got this gents! Love yourselves, and don’t be too hard on yourself!
