Can we stop making this religious

Shame is not from God neither is condemnation. It’s from the enemy and he wants you to make you believe it’s from God so that he can take you with him to hell for eternity. Jesus set us free from shame and guilt as he bore it on the cross as the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live for him! 🙏🏽

You’re correct Jake, Shame has never healed anyone. However love has. The reason why some of these guys and girls speak about Jesus is because they, myself included, have understood the reality of Jesus’ love for us in that while we were yet sinners, He died for us to cleanse us of our sins and save us from the coming judgement. And in response, we seek to live according in to His word, which includes giving up lust, and porn,etc., and any sort of ungodly attributes. However, it’s less about behavior modification, and more about a change in our affections. We once loved our sin, but now we love Jesus, and when one’s affections change, their behaviors follow suit.

To his point it does seem like a lot of stuff revolves around guilt in shame for religion. I think that’s not a good way to live life. I got nothing against religion but you’ll never really quit something if it’s based of shame.

No need to hate on others who find comfort/strength in their religion. We’re all on this journey together and trying to improve our lives. I thank you for being here and wanting to do that, but don’t tear others down because you are anti-religious. I wish you the best on this journey brother, keep going strong.

Theres literally an option to avoid religion content on this app. Just because you happen to think everything is nothingness doesn’t mean others don’t believe in eternal life. A lot of us have absolutely no one to confide in and find comfort in Jesus Christ

If you only trust your own morals, I’m assuming, if your worldview is consistent, then you believe others should trust in their own morals too? Then how do you explain evil? Should someone who murders continue to trust in their own morals too?

Morals are set by God, corrupted by man. If everyone set their own morals there would be no laws. Because everyone’s morals would be different and unjustly charged if they would get arrested. There’s base morals that our set by God that created the laws we have in society. So you’re lying to yourself when you claim you set your own morals. Sorry to burst your bubble

It’s our own morals that give more of a fantasy then the reality of how truly wicked we are outside of God’s plan. Believe what you want I see more proof there is a God and the spiritual battle everyday. You claiming God doesn’t exist is more poof that he does. Especially when you claim your own morals. Funny God says that we would do that. That’s why he sent Jesus too the cross so that when reality hits we have a way.

If religion gives people comfort in getting through this addiction then let them be. It’s not a big deal.

I follow my own set of morals I’m good without religion appreciate the concern but thank you As long as I stick to my own morals then ik I’m gonna be alright

We will always struggle with sin and lust but Jesus is the strength to help over come this. Without Jesus we are empty, with Jesus all things are possible

Your right you don’t religious you need you need Jesus Christ and a relationship with him. To know him, and when you do everything changes. You’ll finally understand why we give our lives to him. He first loved us and was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins as lust is a sin! I pray you find him and get to know him. There’s good and there’s bad. There’s God and there’s the devil. You must pick one or the other you can have both! Praying you find The Lord Jesus Christ. The one that called you by name!
