fantasize before bed?

I don’t know if it’s normal to kinda fantasize at night about like things you’ve experienced or like situations but how would you go about like retraining your brain to not do that before bed? Almost 100 hours in no porn or masturbation and don’t even want to give lust any power.

This is tough and something I’ve struggled with. One thing that has helped me is to read novels before bed. Here’s why: If you focus on visualizing the novel then you will spend less time focusing on visualizing porn. Ideally that can calm you down and help you fall asleep to pleasant thoughts instead of perverse ones. I think the reason it’s tempting to visualize porn is because it feels like it calms you down, so you need to create a method of calming down to replace it because the ultimate issue at hand here is some underlying feeling that you’re feeling before sleep.

I used to do that too, I found it didn’t help long term, it was short term crutch for me and often led to relapses. Now I read before bed and meditate instead and have given up the fantasies as I think, for me at least, it was just as problematic as the porn. But your brain is powerful and if you want to visualize before bed as a means of decompressing, imagine a calming scene like a river or the surf or whatever you find relaxing. You can get pretty detailed while painting that mental picture and I find that to be a good exercise to keep training my brain to look for activities away from porn and social media.
