Was looking forward to have support and people in my corner But it turns out like everywhere else I’ve been where people find the need to prop themselves above you instead of encourage. A positive turned into a negative that fast. I’m gonna kick my porn addiction on my own and unfortunately I wasted $20 and was faced with judgement and elitism like anywhere else. Good luck to everyone on the journey, this is a great movement and yall keep it up👍🏽

I always encourage everyone who says they’re leaving to give QUITTR another chance. It’s the first and only thing I’ve found in over 40 years of trying to quit that was effective in helping me, for real, find FREEDOM from porn! Today is my day 117 of FREEDOM! Everything about my life is so much better now than before I knew FREEDOM! I can think clearly to write this comment in a few minutes—would have taken over an hour before. My health, emotions, marriage, family, relationship with God…everything is better! I’m a volunteer moderator in the group chat, along with a bunch of others and the QUITTR Leadership Team. We all watch the just under 10,000 members and the 5,000-ish comments daily. We do our very best to catch comments that do not fit the community rules-encouraging, positive supportive of the goal of quitting porn or quitting porn and masturbation. Sometimes well-meaning chat members speak bluntly and it’s allowed to remain if the chat corrects itself…if not, a moderator or staff gently guides the discussion back to positive. If it’s just harsh unfairly or violating chat rules, an Admin is notified right away to step in and deal with the situation. That said, it’s not impossible for what you described to happen…though we read through the chat history when we come in after being off for a while and if we see something like that, and it wasn’t corrected right away, an Admin will be notified to reach out, if appropriate, to make sure everybody is okay in the receiving side and to ensure the aggressor knows the behavior is out of line, or take corrective action according to chat rules. All that said, e are humans doing our best. If your situation was as bad as you described, I apologize to you that it was missed and not corrected…it is not the way we operate. I do encourage you to give QUITTR a second chance. I got my most from the app by exploring everything an hour or two a day the first 2-3 weeks. That also helped me through the first couple of weeks when it’s super rough with urges. You’ll get to know the parts of the app that really help you and the parts that don’t mean so much to you. The group chat is the best of any I’ve seen…and I’m in other app group chats…they just do not give good advice in the others, they don’t have the strong fellowship of everyone pulling together for all to win their FREEDOM. There may be better I haven’t found, but I’m not looking real hard, because I’ve already got the best! If anything like this happens again in the GC, you can tag me. Better yet, tag one of the official moderators/QUITTR Admin over the GC: Mael, Jordan Plows, or especially Gid.

I don’t see people judging on this app

Examples? I haven’t experienced that yet, only people going through the same thing as we all are

Sorry to hear! But don't let that experience mess up your drive to get free. The brain will use any excuse to rationalize going back to its addictions.

Fully your choice, but I still encourage you find a community to help you out on this journey, I’m sorry you had a bad experience, I wish you the best
