I’m proud of you, even when you fail.
Go easy on yourself. Even if you lose a battle, the breath in your lungs and the God given will to wake up every morning says you’re still in the war. Stay hopeful for the future, don’t let this have dominion over your life. The amount of things we give power to in our lives on a daily basis. Things that affect our mood, well being, and outlook on life. You always have a choice. You’d be a fool to try and resist, when the temptation already consumed you in the moment. You need to eliminate it at the first thought. It always starts with a thought. Combat that thought it with another one, a healthy one. Maybe the thought of a loved one, your significant other, your future career, the thought that this addiction completely contradicts the person you want to become. Set a timer for 23 minutes every time you get tempted. Go on a walk. Call a friend, Pray, Play video games, workout. Do anything to take your mind off of it. That’s called not giving it power. A devil that comes knocking and gets no response will eventually get bored and move on. I love and believe in every single one of you.
