The porn industry + perspective rant
The porn industry (including onlyfans, pornhub, even Twitter creators) is designed to keep you addicted, to keep you spiraling, and to create terrible fetishes/desires that are in no way normal. Additionally, this lust over sexual acts and women in general only create doubt and anxiety about the type of men we are. Am I really a good man/boyfriend/husband if I can’t deal with this? Am I really as driven as I say I am outwardly if I can’t deal with my inner desires? Don’t let these thoughts control you. The industry is designed to capitalize on our failure to resist temptation, to use the thoughts and emotions of “of course I relapsed” to keep you caught in the web of porn and dig you deeper into the hole of addiction. We don’t have to live in the world that the devil invites us to of worldly desire, we have the opportunity to use the tools God has given us and stay strong against our fleshly desires. Resist, use community, talk to others, talk to God. Just think of your life goals. Think of who you want to be 5-10 years from now, even who you want to be when you’re in your 60s+. That person does not exist if you give into the cycle of the porn industry. It has to be no more. Let’s rewire our brain. Also wanted to add, I’m no better than any one of you. I fail and rationalize just like everybody else. And I’m not saying it’s okay to stay addicted. It’s not okay. Don’t let yourself off the hook. This community that the app gives us is not to show us that “oh everybody relapses its normal” it’s designed to get us to stop fully and move forward. So don’t let the desire get to you, don’t let the thoughts of going to that site or that twitter page get to you, run to community and use the people around you.
Youve got a good head on your shoulders brother, keep using it for good. We are rooting for you, keep growing
