Shame vs sorrow

I’ve relapsed and binged a few times recently, and I’ve realized that my first instinct is to hide myself from all responsibility. This is the product of shame. It’s a harmful feeling, and none of us should feel it, because we are all so much more than our obstacles. Sorrow is different, because it means we want to do more. Sorrow drives us to God and those around us for support. Allow yourself to desire better things, but NEVER hide from truth and change. You’re all an inspiration to me, stay strong for humanity’s future.
Well said, the enemy wants us to feel shame and hide our sins. He wants us to stay in the downward spiral of Guilt. Jesus wants us to realize our sin for what it is, but he wants us to turn back to Him, not dwell on our mistakes
