RIDE THE URGE AND GET OFF INSTAGRAM (day 17)
So I uninstalled instagram but log in on my computer to check it once ever 2 weeks or so to check the messages my friends send me and the first thing that pops up is a thirst trap reel on the suggested posts. Was temped and did look at it briefly but realise what was important to me. Logged out. Stood up, looked outside, held my stone and meditated. Now, just 15 minutes later I’m back to normal. You can ride the urge. Don’t just give in. Get up, walk, breathe, look at something in the distance, hold and feel a stone to ground you. When we see these things online or get these urges our pre-frontal cortex literally switches off and we can’t think straight.
Instagram really can be such a cancer at times
