About to be 10 days in now. Reached a point where urges are strong but it’s easy to take care of this now, for me masturbating without porn when you really need to has helped. I’ve only done it twice and for me this isn’t an issue, with this app I set out to just quit porn. I’ve found this really helps so thought I’d share as a tip for those who aren’t going completely cold turkey. Whilst urges have been strong tbh there haven’t been any urges to watch porn, which is really positive for me. Most of the time I treat these urges like a wave and let them pass, and on a couple of occasions they’ve been super strong so I dealt with them and feel great after

Just try not to relapse for a while. It might sound simple, but over time, you’ll start gaining better control. You’ll stop associating every urge or feeling with “I need to jerk off right now.”

Hmm, I’d still say it’s pretty much the same. You’re probably just imagining scenarios in your head, often fake or exaggerated stories, or who knows what. That kind of mental stimulation messes with your dopamine levels, especially after a relapse. I wouldn’t recommend it. From what I’ve seen, 9 out of 10 people end up going back to porn because those mental fantasies stop being satisfying after a while.
