My Testimony

Hi, my name is Elder Owens, and I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ the latter-day Saints. And here is my testimony on how one can overcome addiction. I was exposed pornography at a very young age approximately nine years old from that time and forward, it became an obsession of mine. There would be stints where I would go for maybe a month maybe a year one time I didn’t have an electronic device for two years and I was clean the entire time But the second that I had an electronic device in my hand again I would go back. Now I am 21 and I am serving a mission in the El Paso mission in Texas and I can tell you that my life has changed is changed for the better and it is all because of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I don’t know what all of you believe, but I can tell you that the things which I’m about to write are true. Jesus Christ loves you. He loves each of us perfectly and individually. He knows you by name and he cares for you. He wants you to come unto him. There is not a single day he does not care for you. Hhousands of years ago Jesus Christ died on the cross, but he also did something else he went into the garden of Gethsemane and atoned for our sins bleeding from every poor. He has felt every sorrow every pain, every suffering, every regret every single thing of that kind that we have Will and ever will feel in this life and he felt that for everyone. And so I can testify to you that if you come unto Christ, if you lean on him, if you would rely on his power that you can overcome this addiction that you can make yourself clean once again both in the eyes of man and God. I love all of you. I care about all of you I may not know you in person, but I’ve seen your stories and I have read the things that you’ve gone through. You are my brothers and sisters in Christ and as I am saying this, I say so With tears God bless you all have a blessed day and I would also like to invite you to pray to heavenly father for strength, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
