Not trying to start any religious debate or anything, just asking. I’m muslim and honestly believe that the only way to beat this addiction or any problem for that matter is by returning to Allah (God). Everybody struggles with this regardless of their creed.

Welcome Juan. I’m not Muslim, I’m Christian, but YES, you are right, only God can 100% heal you. Return to God and seek him daily. I work on praying and reading 3 times a day, first thing in the morning, that’s the very first thing, then at 2pm, and then as I go to bed I do the same. I have been in recovery for 17 months, and I try to stay in recovery every day until I feel like I’ve kicked this addiction for good. I was introduced at age 8, and I’m 49, so dealing with it for 40 years, I’m not going to kick in in 3 months or 17 months, I have grown and improved big time in 17 months, but still have thoughts and urges that I have not acted on that I am looking to get rid of. Use a tool like this to just help in any way possible. I’m reading a book called The Last Relapse right now, check it out, it’s very good. Also check out materials from Dr. Doug Weiss, they have other things that you can learn about. Just keep reading and learning and growing each day. Return to God, but he can also provide material for you to read and do that can be helpful in your journey, you can do it!

Not Muslim, I am Christian. But I agree. Masturbation/adult content is a spiritual battle and we must rely the strength of the Creator to help us overcome. Praying that you overcome your battle brother.
