A small victory today

First wave of temptation came, egging me on to go on to my usual sites for porn but instead of caving. I just simply let the temptation gnaw at me and gouge but I made it appoint to myself that I would rather die than give myself to demons. In my Orthodox Study Bible, the footnote for 1 Corinthians 6:15 tells me that the Apostle Paul calls our bodies, “Members of Christ” therefor, anytime we give our bodies over to fornication, we are giving Christ over to Harlots (Prostitutes). Likewise for masturbation, it’s like you’re doing an abominable deed to Christ. For me, that hit me like a truck and only fueled me to stay sober minded, disciplined and to stay in the fight against porn especially after learning that footnote for 1 Corinthians 6:15. Stay in the fight gentlemen, there is more waiting for us on the other side of this battle.
