Almost to my first full week without porn, and I’m still feeling good. When struggling with porn I and many other people feel confused about how we should handle it. I remember countless times wondering why it’s so normalized, why it’s not talked about a whole lot, and so on; but this post is about the pressure we put on ourselves. I know there have been many times where I have insulted myself and dwelled in guilt for a long time after relapsing. We need to remember that porn isn’t supposed to be with us our whole lives, and that we definitely aren’t alone in this struggle to stay clean. Even if we feel like we can never stop, we have to remember that we have a choice. We have the choice to stay in this guilt and suffer in silence, or we could go to God with everything and make the rational decision to step away from this and many other terrible addictions. In short, you are never alone and never will be in this struggle. Just because you have failed this time doesn’t mean you have failed for life. Sorry for the longer post but it feels good to share my thoughts this way with you all. Thank you to whoever took the time out of their day/night to read this, and God bless. I love you and I know you can do this. 🙏❤️

I agree, but remember you have to replace those addictions with healthy activities that will stimulate your brain and have goals to accomplish, quitting without making lifestyle changes will make you likely relapse again
