It’s constantly on my mind and I continually give in and I hate myself for it.

You’re not alone, and you’re not broken. The fact that you’re aware and hurting shows your heart is still alive. This isn’t about willpower or shame—it’s about healing the deeper pain, replacing the habit with purpose, and learning to forgive yourself each time you fall. Every day is a new chance. You’ve got this—one step, one prayer, one moment at a time. ⸻ Practical tip: Delete triggers, get an accountability partner, and replace the urge with something immediate—like going for a walk, praying, or studying. Focus on becoming who you want to be, not just what you want to avoid. Scientifically, humans struggle to stop thinking about thoughts but can intentionally introduce other ones. Occupy yourself with things that give you purpose and joy and you’ll naturally think about these things less and less.

Just remember that what you're doing is good, you understand it is very bad for you, some people don't even care about what they are doing. Look at you, your trying, your doing and that is worthy of praise. Keep it up dude

Don’t be so hard on yourself. The enemy is ants you to feel this way but the Lords grace is bigger than we know. We our spiritual beings in a physical body. For you to even feel shame and disgust shows you are fighting the good fight and that the Lord is working in you. Pick yourself back up, you’re not alone my guy. You got this!
