Stop… breath… sin is sin!

Hey gents, look I usually not one to reply, I got this app because I struggled however I learned through the Bible that you will never win alone. The enemy is a prowling lion who comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10). He attacks those like you who sit and try to fight alone, in shame, without seeking help. Going on this app is great to share your testimony, your struggles, and give advice. However, you’re not gunna get help past that. Couple things to look into and keep in mind. 1. Look into covenant eyes find a brother who you trust and know deeply to be your accountability partner. Get this app downloaded it together and hold each accountable it can be used on phones, pc, and so much more. It’s not expensive at all and it’s 100% Christian and for all. I use it literally has helped me tremendously. 2. Spend time in scripture, in church, and finding someone to confess this sin to. For we are called to confess to one another and bring our sin out of the darkness into the light. This can also relate to the first one. 3. If you relapse, talk to God, go to repentance, pray about it and stop beating yourselves up. Nothing makes the enemy happier to see your fall and beat yourselves up as well because then you feel you will never beat this or that you can’t be forgiven or go to god remember satan is a liar. 4. Read proverbs and understand a righteous man falls 7 times! The beauty of falling is that we can get back up and turn to God again. 5. Be honest with yourself stop making excuses remember sin is sin. God doesn’t see sin as greater or less and he also sent Jesus who came and forgave you to anyone who turns to him this includes porn. For the Bible only says there is one unforgivable sin and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. If you feel that you will never end this or you can’t be forgiven or not good enough to go to God you are surely deceiving yourself. 6. This is an easy one, keep a journal, whether for prayer, write about your day or write scripture in. On days you feel tempted leave the situation God says flee from temptation. Additionally call someone like your acceptability partner if they truly love you then the time you call will not matter. 7. Lastly, breathe…. Celebrate the victories and push past the defeats. This means if you went from watching porn everyday to once a week praise God. It’s called a walk it’s a daily thing not a once in an awhile. Sanctification takes a life time and as we grow as Christians and with brothers to hold us accountable trust me you will succeed. If you ignore the devil he will flee from you. However if you this alone you will never win. God called us to have a relationship with one another as brothers in Christ hence we are not meant to fight alone. I’m praying for you all….
