I have done a bad thing. I couldn’t take it anymore. I paid for sex. The urges were killing me. I was doing everything I could do to avoid porn and this is what I came up with. I feel terrible. Is this a relapse??

i like Brad’s advice. download tinder and work for it if you want it - no cheating lmao. same as porn.

I think it’s more in your actions than in what you actually did. You’re finding loop holes instead of facing it head on. Download tinder and work for it or go to a bar that will help your root issue.

Idk but what I have to say about this is that you’re using other women/men as objects to masturbate yourself with, you’re not looking at their inherent value as human beings, remember they also have dreams, families, and emotions. And that is what porn tries to eliminate as well. Not to mention that you can get STIs, so better get checked. And it might be illegal wherever you’re from. And the girl you were with might be trafficked/or a minor, you never know(same with porn), So just a few points to not do it again. Deep down you’re looking for something real and I know you will find it someday. I’ve been there and also struggle with those urges so I know where you’re coming from!

If you’re a believer in Christ, I want to remind you that there’s no such thing as “safe sex” outside of marriage. God created sex to be a beautiful display of love and connection between husband and wife. Porn and prostitution only cheapen the divine purpose God truly intended. Sex isn’t supposed to be transactional. I know it can be difficult, but embracing God’s design and plan for your life through Christ is the only way to true lasting freedom and joy. Be encouraged brother, He’ll help you overcome. Praying for you man

I’d say I have a different opinion than most on this so maybe take my opinion with a pinch of salt. I’d say no relapse, but its up to you. A relapse for me is purely watching porn. I’ve dabbled in paying for sex and whilst the post nut clarity can be painful and its rarely a good experience- I think its better than watching porn. As it is a real interaction than watching pixels on a screen. It’s a tough place to be because you don’t want to replace one addition with another (porn to paying for sex). But if its occasional and used to help beat a porn addiction, I don’t think it is necessarily that bad. On a personal level, my aim this year is to stop both, but I accept that paying for sex might be used to help beat the porn addiction. Hope this helps
