Theory on male vs female addiction

I believe male and female addiction are different and stem from different issues. Bear with me this is my “theory” that I’ve seen. Me personally I have never EVER heard from a female that has a porn addiction that wasn’t sexually assaulted or abused. But males often just get exposed to porn at a young age and just enjoy watching it. I just wanted to address this elephant in the room and I wonder if it could possibly be backed by science or culture. Thoughts?

Yeah I wasn’t abused either but I was exposed to it too at a young age and I grew up with tv shows with sex and nudity and romance and romance novels and fanfiction too and I became obsessed with it.

I think for females, porn can come in different ways. Romance novels, tv shows, magazines with intimacy ideas, etc. Porn isn’t just nude stuff all the time, it’s also ideas and materials that arouse.
