I have been on a pretty good streak recently, and I feel confident that I’m almost gotten rid of this addiction. But somehow I don’t trust my future self for not relapsing ever, so have to keep this around for the unknown and hard times.

I would keep it and remind yourself occasionally of where you started. Read the stories of all the people still struggling, and remember that cohod be you again just as easily. In my experience once you’re truly an addict, it never goes all the way away. You still have to stay on top of your triggers and keep that mentality of growth and healing.
