✝️Battle Buddies: Day 31
These past few days I have started to become sick. My voice sounds like a muffled speech blender, if you can imagine what that sounds like. I’m finding that because it has been over a month, I tend to let my guard down more easily. This new corner I have turned is not one of hard battles and urges but having regular maintenance so that all the little paper cuts don’t end up causing me to falter. A handful of paper cuts we can handle, but after a slough of them it’s easy become weak due to the pain. I must remind myself to not take control and use my own will power but to give God even the little things. Awhile back I made a post talking about how we would be fools if we turned to God and said “I’ve got this one” thinking that somehow we could produce a better outcome than He could. I find myself here, being the fool not allowing Him to do His perfect will letting Him have the glory in it all. Thank you Father for revealing this within my heart. I only want You, God, and what You have planned. We are so much lesser and He is so much greater! Thank you Lord for bringing my brothers and sisters in Christ this far, I pray we do not fall back into the wide path but stay true to the straight and narrow. “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.” Ephesians 5:11-13 Brothers in Christ Michael, Cameron, and Jan: I love you guys! Christ within you has helped me so much along this path, your strength, your vigor, your encouragement. You men know how to exhort and do it well, not only to me but through this community as well. You are lights in the darkness, seen from afar. Beacons of hope to those whom have grown weary, all because they can see a little bit of God within you. I’m honored to call you brothers, God bless you guys! Sisters in Christ Mikayla and Kathryn: Much more valuable are you than the flowers or the sparrows, you are not diminished. The Lord will see this good work within you to completion, that is His promise to us. May your love for the Lord abound more and more each day that there may be no more room left for this temptation when the time comes. You two have been fighting the good fight, we can all see it. I love that our God has placed on your hearts to overcome this sin, He is getting you ready for something and I’m excited to see what that is going to be! Praise to our Father!
@Robert, first off -Praise the Lord you hit 31 days!!👏🏻 God has walked beside you & you’ve come so far!☺️ I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well- I will absolutely be praying for a swift recovery, and that the down time would be restorative and peaceful. Thank you again, for your encouragement, scripture reminders and biblical wisdom- I believe it’s helping many, and God is working through each of us as we work against this sin. I know God uses people where they’re at. He works through foolish, weak people all the time, but these verses are helpful for me as an encouragement to live a godly life, turn from my sin- in order that he would use me more. Maybe it’s helpful for you. :) “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.” 2 Tim 2:21-22
