Advice for breaking habits

I’ve developed a terrible habit of masturbating in the mornings almost immediately after I wake up. I certainly understand how detrimental that can be; but I felt that it helped me wake up a bit (generally hard to get up in the mornings due to lack of sleep and melatonin). Does anyone have any suggestions on other ways to get going in the mornings and avoid temptation?

As for mornings, I have a couple that I’ve done. Putting your alarm across the room so you have to walk over there to turn it off. a glass of cold water or preworkout as soon as you wake up can force you to go to the gym or exercise so you don’t waste that energy. I also sometimes use a boom boom stick (on Amazon) to give my body a quick sense of energy. The idea behind breaking a habit long term is making that habit the inconvenient option. Give yourself energy in any way possible in the morning so that the better option is to start your day/exercise and the worse option is masturbation. You’ve got this!!!
