Battle Buddies: Day 5
The temptations have definitely been felt today, and I swear to you the enemy plants those seeds in your mind at the most random times. The strongest one was during my coffee walk this morning, and I just felt this sudden burst of panic like I needed to masturbate right then and there. I’ve been using scripture to combat these thoughts and every time I do, by the grace of the Father, are alleviated and replaced with heavenly peace. One thing that I’m gonna get back to doing is setting up a daily checklist to help me stay occupied, and that includes spending time in silence with my wonderful Creator who knows me more than anyone on this earth. I don’t want to make my Bible reading a chore but if it’s going to help me make it a habit, I gotta do what must be done to stay consistent in the Word. To my brothers Michael, Robert and Jan: Stay focused, and don’t let the devil flood you with thoughts of lust and uneasiness, as those are going to make you want to find comfort in the things of the world and the flesh. Christ is always there waiting for you to run to Him, and in times of trouble that’s what He wants us to do. May peace be with you guys, see yall tomorrow night!
I completely relate, it seems the enemy attacks at the most random of times. Trying to claw his way back, not this time though. I’m sure it is pleasing to the Lord everything you surrender this temptation back to Him. It brings me joy that you are well on your way to righteousness!
