I never thought porn affected my relationship, because I only through on its impact on sex. What I did not understand is that it is a coping mechanism for me not trying to feel my emotions. Now that I feel them more clearly my love for her grows stronger. To become a better boyfriend I can’t escape into these vices, I need to be able to feel the pain and love.
I feel this. My girlfriend and I had a conversation about my consumption of porn, I agreed to stop. But I broke my promise and hurt her she’s still willing to be with me. However the damage I did is eating me from the inside and I want to quit porn to become a better person.
