The first two weeks of quitting, I felt so good. I was more energized and productive, got better sleep, and was happy I was able to commit to quitting. Then I relapsed and it all went downhill. I’m just trying to get back to before I even knew what porn was.

“It doesn’t matter how many times you fall down. What matters is how many times you get back up.”

You got this brother

I'm sure you'll recover. Analyze what feelings and thoughts trigger you to relapse. I'm receiving psychological support. I've had this addiction for 40 years, and so far, I haven't relapsed since April 17th. In my case, a trigger is loneliness when I travel and arrive at the hotel, but I've found other activities to avoid relapsing. Not everything is over, and you are stronger than this.

It’s ok progress isn’t linear you’ll go up and fall down. Those who keep walking are the one who succeed

Hey man, we’ve all been there. It can be frustrating to relapse, especially when progress has been made. Look at it like this though, progress isn’t linear. In your struggle reaching sobriety, relapses will be made. It’s what you do after that counts. Are you going to go into a downward spiral? Are you going to down on yourself for what could have been? Or will you take it as a learning lesson for self improvement, and move on to better things? Not only can you overcome this addiction, I believe you will. What matters most in your regard, are you trying your best? Are you making improvements? If you are, while it may take time; you WILL beat this addiction. That’s all.

Don’t listen to venom Nolan, you got this. You just have to find new and interesting hobbies to get your mind out of that gutter and try to acknowledge what triggers you to relapse and avoid it

I had just hit two weeks and relapsed last night (ironically immediately after a new hook up left for the night). Not sure about you but I think if I was being honest I was “rewarding” myself. Neuroplasticity, dopamine, and addiction are wild things, my friend. Let’s get back on the horse.
