good habits

let’s put quitting porn on the back burner for a minute. along with losing a bad habit, i want to build good ones (bible study, being more attentive in school, learning a new skill, etc.) but it can all seem so overwhelming that i end up dedicating to none of it. does anyone have advice on how to ease into these good habits and lay the foundation for meaningful growth?

I wouldn’t put quitting on the back burner, however I like your mentality of building good habits as well. Honestly, more fellowship with bible study and a good men’s group is helpful. Writing goals down and making a plan that breaks your efforts into smaller more practical steps helps. Like learning a new skill, for Jiu Jitsu as an example, looking up local dojos is a good first step and looking at schedules to go try it. Same thing with anything but don’t beat yourself up for not accomplishing it all at once. Baby steps get you there rather than trying to make huge leaps.
