Some things that have helped me
- Delete Insta (you can download all your own pictures before doing so to keep the memories) - Delete Facebook (same as above) - Block private browsing at the source (ask chat gpt for a snippet of code that will disable private browsing as an option in your chosen browser. Paste it into your laptops terminal) - Use website blockers to add friction to websites you still may need to access for a pre-defined purpose (e.g. YouTube) - Download games on your phone. I have found this to be the best low-effort dopamine replacement. - Eat your feelings. Not a long term solution, but in the short term I am also replacing the dopamine when I feel bad emotionally with tasty food. - Don’t build mountains. Reframe your thinking as a paradigm shift where you no longer want to relapse and counting the days matters less and less. For some people, the higher you feel you have climbed, the harder you will want to fall. Just walk in a straight line.
