I have been porn and masturbation free for over 2 months now, I have systems in place to never see any nsfw content on my phone which help even more. My question is, am I able to still date and have sex? I’ve just been dating and having sex and that fills all my voids of wanting to ever watch porn or ever masturbate. I noticed when I completely removed porn and masturbation it changed something in my brain. I get even more turned on when I’m with women and have stronger erections and feel even more confident. But am I suppose to be having sex? Does that count as a relapse or is sex okay. It seems like with consistent sex it’s not really hard to not masturbate.
this is just my opinion from a Biblical standpoint but if you are still carrying that baggage, I feel that you should still abstain from dating and sex and just devote this season of singleness and healing to the Lord. He wants to lead you to where you would be best fit to serve His kingdom, and it is only for the good of you. Now on the topic of sex: do not have it until marital commitment, for it is such a powerful act and it may damage relationships because of the bond that you create between you and the woman that you are with. If it’s a toxic relationship, having sex within it may lead to you being in that relationship longer than you should be. Think of it as if you’re drunk, sex before marriage will cloud your thinking because the bond it creates will make you stay in unhealthy relationships for longer and it won’t be good for you. Also your future wife deserves every bit of that intimacy, and reserving it for her will only strengthen the intimacy between you and her and also maintain the chemistry between both of you as well.
