It’s hard to give up something you’ve been addicted to for years. Man it really is harder than not starting at all. We just gotta tell ourselves it’s way worth it than the instant pleasure right now. When you’re alone I play music on my speakers loud or I just go outside, if isolation is the problem we have to go outside in public more during the day then come back home at the end of the day when you’re tired
Avoid triggers. Don’t use your phone late at night, especially social media that is filled with thirst traps. Be careful about what shows you watch and don’t be embarrassed to fast forward past sex scenes. I have been using A.R.M when I am tempted. Acknowledge the thought, Rebuke it, Move on! Will be praying for you
Journaling your tiggers and the times your urges creep up may give you a better understanding and how to prepare yourself for when it happens.
Don’t beat yourself up about it. Relapses happen we all go through it. Personally what works for me is keeping myself busy when I can. I go for walks or jogs, I do quick work outs. I also journal as well. That helps.

I’m in the same boat aswell I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese so whenever I get the urge I’m going to do a Duolingo lesson and see if that helps

All these are good, do them. What really worked for me was working on my reason to quit. Why am I doing this anyway? Think out that reason(s) and type it into the app. Then USE THE PANIC BUTTON when you’re tempted to relapse. You’ll see your reason to quit, which will be really good, and a bunch of other really good tidbits of truth about why you really want to out the phone away and go get your dopamine another way
